About you 👤
Degree educated or equivalent qualification.
Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets across both Primary and Secondary Care settings.
Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, engaging effectively with both payers and clinicians.
Strong account management experience, with a proven ability to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes through customer insight and strategic partnership.
Experience developing and executing complex business plans that deliver measurable results.
Sound understanding of how national and local NHS priorities influence healthcare delivery, with particular knowledge of Women's Health.
In-depth knowledge of Women's Health and relevant therapeutic areas.
Strong understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice and other applicable regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a commercial environment.
Collaborative team player with excellent networking, relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other business systems.
Full UK driving licence.
About the role 🧭
The Women's Health Account Manager (WHAM) is responsible for driving both commercial performance and market access activities across the assigned territory. This includes promoting established products with existing market authorisation, as well as supporting the successful introduction and adoption of new products within key accounts. For authorised products, the WHAM is accountable for delivering sales objectives and achieving market access outcomes that support sustainable business growth across the territory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities 📌
Achieve sales targets for the assigned portfolio within the designated territory.
Deliver UK business objectives within allocated budgets and resources, proactively addressing and resolving issues as they arise.
Maintain agreed levels of engagement with priority customers across assigned accounts, including GPs, secondary care stakeholders, pharmacies, and other relevant healthcare professionals, in line with the Plan of Action (POA).
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare environment, including customers, patients, Women's Health, and other relevant therapeutic areas.
Build and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships with key opinion leaders, influencers, and decision-makers across the territory, collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Medical teams.
Develop and execute territory business plans covering key customers and Local Health Economies (LHEs), aligned with company objectives and incorporating SMART goals, strategic priorities, and tactical actions. Review and update plans quarterly with the National Sales Manager (NSM).
Create and maintain a prioritised activity plan that maximises business opportunities and supports achievement of territory objectives.
Ensure customer segmentation, targeting, and prioritisation data remains accurate and up to date through regular review cycles.
Drive advocacy, access, and awareness for Theramex brands across Local Health Economies, supporting the development and reinforcement of consistent prescribing behaviours.
Support the development of formularies, positive prescribing policies, and clinical guidelines for Theramex brands, working closely with the National Account Manager as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, meetings, activities, and budget expenditure within the company CRM and reporting systems, ensuring all associated administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner.
